5 Tips on How to Energize Your Brain

Hi, I’m Kelly Boule, hypnotherapist and holistic nutrition consultant here in Kansas City, and today I want to talk to you about five things you can do to energize your brain. Coming out of winter and darker days and things like that with the lack of light, I get a lot of clients come in and say, man, I’ve got brain fog. You know, I’m tired. I get fatigued. And so today I want to talk about five things you can do to energize and re-energize your brain.

Take Some Deep Breaths

Number one is really super simple. Take some deep breaths. And when you breathe to re-energize that brain, try breathing through your nose and out of your mouth. So that looks like this. And do that three or four times in a row, you will be surprised at how much better you’re going to feel, more relaxed, ready to focus and things like that. Breathing is really important. That’s one thing you could do

Get Good Sleep

Another thing you can do to make sure that you energized, your brain is energized, is to get some good sleep. I say that a lot in these talks, but I can’t really emphasize that enough. Getting seven and a half, eight hours of good sleep every night is a great way to keep your brain energized.

Exercise Three or Four Times a Week

The third one is exercising three or four times a week. You don’t need to spend an hour and 15 minutes in a gym five times a week, as much as sometimes we’ve been told that. I find that some of the people get the best results when they’re just exercising three to four times a week. You know if you do some good cardio, 20 to 30 minutes, three to four times a week, that can really help. Some strength training can help. Doing some yoga, stretching, can help. That’s a really good way to keep that brain energized.

Take Brain Supplements

Another way is to take some brain supplements, brain supplements, brain food. I love the Omega 3s. I eat a lot of smoothies, eat a lot of salads and things like that. Things that have a lot of oxygen still in them can help oxygenate your brain, so think about foods that are living. If you don’t like to eat a lot of salads, especially if it’s cold out, throw them in a smoothie and some fruits and vegetables and stuff like that. And that’s a great way to keep that brain feeling light.

Try Rebounding

The last thing I would do is one of my favorite things and I’m going to talk about it later in another video, but it’s rebounding. And you’ve heard of rebounding maybe and certainly we know what trampolines are. But there’s little single trampolines you can get. And jumping up and down on those for two to three minutes, two to three times a day is so good for you. And I have a whole nother video. I’m going to talk to you about that on. But that is a great way to get more oxygen in your cells, more oxygen, your brain to reenergize you. I would highly recommend investing in one

So anyway, thanks so much. Have a great.
